Alright, so yesterday I decided to hit up Grizzly Ranch Golf Club. I’d heard some good things, and man, it looked promising from what little I saw online. Nestled up in the high desert with the Plumas National Forest all around, it sounded like a good escape.
I packed up my clubs, and drove out there. The drive was something else, winding roads, beautiful views. It really set the mood. When I got there, I checked in at the clubhouse. The staff was super friendly, and got me sorted out with a cart and everything.

I grabbed a scorecard and headed out to the first tee. The course was in great shape. I mean, really well-maintained. I started warming up, hitting a few practice shots. Felt good to be out in the fresh air, you know?
- The first few holes were pretty straightforward, a good way to ease into the round.
- Then, things started getting a little more challenging.
- Some tricky doglegs, a few well-placed bunkers.
I was playing alright, nothing spectacular, but holding my own. Made a few good putts, missed a couple of easy ones. You know how it goes. The scenery was a nice distraction, though. Pine trees everywhere, mountains in the distance. It was a really peaceful setting.
I got to play the back nine, too. The wind picked up a bit, which made things interesting. I had to adjust my shots, club up on a few holes. I managed to par a couple of the tougher holes, which felt pretty good. I even birdied one, which was a nice surprise!
By the time I finished up, I was tired but happy. It was a solid round of golf, in a really beautiful place. If you’re ever in the area, and you’re looking for a good golf course, I’d definitely recommend checking out Grizzly Ranch. It’s a bit of a drive, but it’s worth it. The course is challenging but fair, and the views are amazing. Plus, the staff was great. Two thumbs up from me!

Wrapping up
So that was my day at Grizzly Ranch. I got to enjoy the high desert air, got some good exercise, and even managed to play some decent golf. It’s always fun to try out a new course, and this one didn’t disappoint.
I’m thinking about heading back there sometime soon, maybe with a few buddies. I’ve also heard there’s a million-acre forest nearby, Plumas National Forest, so I might explore that too. Anyway, that’s all for now. Time to clean my clubs and maybe watch some golf on TV. Catch you later!
