Alright, let’s talk about the Oregon football logo. I’ve been messing around with this, and it’s pretty cool to see how it’s evolved over time.
So, I started by digging up some old pics. I noticed that back in the day, like in 1999, they had this fierce-looking Donald Duck on there, fists all clenched up. He looked ready to rumble! I found this on some old merchandise and it was quite the find!
Then I started looking at more recent stuff. It seems like around 2002, they introduced this thing called “The Mandrake.” It was also designed by Nike, it was a duck’s foot. It was different, for sure, but also pretty neat! I discovered this by looking at some stuff on the internet and some history videos.
- First, I spent hours just browsing through online shops, looking at vintage gear and newer stuff side-by-side.
- Then, I compared the logos. You could really see the changes! I printed them out and put them all in a row.
- After that, I read some articles about the history of the logo. I found some about tickets being on sale, but it wasn’t what I was looking for.
I also read a lot about it, I was trying to put together a timeline, figuring out when each design was used. It felt like I was putting together a puzzle, a really fun one!
It’s wild how much a logo can change, but still be recognizable. Like, even with all the updates, you still know it’s Oregon. I was pretty excited when I realized this, it just made me appreciate the brand even more.
The whole process was a blast. I started with just a simple question, and it turned into this whole exploration of the Oregon Ducks’ visual history. Pretty cool, right? I’m glad I did it because now I’ve got this whole new appreciation for the team’s brand. I even found the lowest price for a ticket! As low as $13. That’s nothing! But I have a feeling they’re not going to be that price for long.
